Carpe Diem!

The 2010 Kingfish held their own with other 2010 Division D teams, but several teams in lower divisions have been moving up. So, we will be the first seed in Division F for the 2011 season. The fun thing is that there a few teams we have never faced in previous years, allowing for the formation of new friendships and friendly competition! We will share Division F with Glenwood, Poolesville, Bannockburn, Daleview, and Chevy Chase Recreation Department.

Congratulations to all the relay and individuals swimmers who competed in the All-Star Meets this weekend! All four relays bettered their seed place, and 3/4 had best times. Everyone swam well on Sunday in the individual meet as well. Special congratulations to John Freeman who was the County Champion in the 13-14 Boys 50M backstroke! On his way to the win, John also broke his own team record with a time of 29.22. John took second place in the 100M IM with another new team record (1:04.49). Congrats also to Olivia French who took 4th place in the 25M back and broke her own team record with a season best time of 17.97! We hope all Kingfish families enjoy the rest of their summer. We'll see you around the neighborhood!
